International Students at Melrose High School

Melrose High School attracts students from all over the world.  Many are students of diplomatic families, students from recent migrant families as well as private international students who reside with Australian homestay families.  Students come to Melrose High School from as far away as China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Indonesia, France and Germany. 

International students are supported through English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in SOSE and English.  Students practice their English skills with local students in all other subject areas.  Pastoral Care is provided via the International student coordinator who assists students with integration into the school community, subject choices and cultural understanding.
