Prospective Students
The Enrolment Process
Students who live in our Priority Enrolment Area (PEA) and are currently in year 6, will be given automatic enrolment at Melrose High. All other years need to contact the Principal to determine availability of places. All students wanting to enrol at Melrose High School need to complete the Request for Secondary Placement form. Three prefences for high school must be made and the document should be returned to the first preferred high school. Online registration is also available at the Education and Training Directorate website. Students not currently attending a government primary school also need to complete an Application to Enrol in an ACT Public School form.
Applications open on April 30, 2013 and need to be complete by June 14, 2013.
Year 6 Orientation Days
Students will participate in a range of classes throughout the day giving them a taste of daily life at Melrose High School.
Monday 27th May, 2013: Students from Torrens and Mawson Primary School only.
Wednesday 29th May, 2013: Students from Farrer Primary and students from other schools. Bookings essential for out of area students.
Year 7 Information Evening - 30 May 2013 (5:30-7:30pm)
The information evening gives parents an introduction to the school's facilities and programs. Prospective students are most welcome to accompany their parents. Representatives from each of the Curriculum Areas and Administrative Teams will be available to answer questions.School Tours
Tours of the school are conducted on selected mornings during the term. Parents have the opportunity to see the school in operation and ask questions relating to school programs. Please contact the school on 6205 7588 to arrange a booking.
