Charity Work

Each year the school supports the appeals conducted by charities including Red Cross and the Salvation Army.  Representatives of these organisations address the school Assembly on the services provided by these groups.  Students have always responded generously to the call to volunteer to work as helpers in door knock appeals.

The largest charity effort comes with the school-based Charities Day.  This day is organised and supported by students and funds raised are donated to charities nominated by the SRC.

School Assemblies

Full school assemblies are held throughout the year in the school hall.  They are seen as a vital part of the school program in helping to build school spirit and in making students aware of community projects and needs.

Assemblies provide an opportunity for celebration and recognition of individual and group achievements as well as public performances by the various school bands, dance groups, drama groups vocal ensembles.
